EIFFEL TOWER

(Eiffel Tower, in French) is a structure designed by French engineer Gustave Eiffel on the occasion of the 1889 Universal Exposition in Paris. It was established in two years, two months and five días.1 Built in dispute with the artists of the era, which saw the iron as a monster, is considered the undisputed symbol of France and the city of Paris in particular, currently the most visited monument in the world.

FEATURES
When the monument was built was the highest in the world, with 300 meters high (if joins the radio antenna that is at its peak, its height is 324 meters). When built, the tower weighs about 7,300 tons, while today it is estimated his weight at more than 10.0001 (due to the museum, restaurants, stores and shops which houses). It was expected that the tower reached the 350 metres high, but the neighbors are alarmed by the threat that a building could fall so high, and marched, causing a change of plans. The last 24 meters correspond to a radio antenna that was added much later.
HISTORY

The structure began to be built in 1887 to serve as the entrance arch at the Universal Exposition, a world fair organised to commemorate the centenary of the French Revolution. The tower was inaugurated on March 31 of 1889.1 and was open to the public on May 6 this year. Nearly two hundred workers assembled the 18,038 pieces of wrought iron, using two and a half million roblones, following the structural design of Maurice Koechlin. Because of the proximity of the river and the nature of the subsoil, its foundations are, in each of its four support, a depth of 30 metres. Each of its four legs resting on eight hydraulic jacks, so you can actually consider that the tower is 32 feet.
I like a lot of the Eiffel Tower, my great dream is to travel to Paris with my family to meet new people, new cultures and above all I would like to live a while in Paris to learn French.
