EIFFEL TOWER

(Eiffel Tower, in French) is a structure designed by French engineer Gustave Eiffel on the occasion of the 1889 Universal Exposition in Paris. It was established in two years, two months and five días.1 Built in dispute with the artists of the era, which saw the iron as a monster, is considered the undisputed symbol of France and the city of Paris in particular, currently the most visited monument in the world.

FEATURES

When the monument was built was the highest in the world, with 300 meters high (if joins the radio antenna that is at its peak, its height is 324 meters). When built, the tower weighs about 7,300 tons, while today it is estimated his weight at more than 10.0001 (due to the museum, restaurants, stores and shops which houses). It was expected that the tower reached the 350 metres high, but the neighbors are alarmed by the threat that a building could fall so high, and marched, causing a change of plans. The last 24 meters correspond to a radio antenna that was added much later.

HISTORY

The structure began to be built in 1887 to serve as the entrance arch at the Universal Exposition, a world fair organised to commemorate the centenary of the French Revolution. The tower was inaugurated on March 31 of 1889.1 and was open to the public on May 6 this year. Nearly two hundred workers assembled the 18,038 pieces of wrought iron, using two and a half million roblones, following the structural design of Maurice Koechlin. Because of the proximity of the river and the nature of the subsoil, its foundations are, in each of its four support, a depth of 30 metres. Each of its four legs resting on eight hydraulic jacks, so you can actually consider that the tower is 32 feet.
I like a lot of the Eiffel Tower, my great dream is to travel to Paris with my family to meet new people, new cultures and above all I would like to live a while in Paris to learn French.

A BEAUTIFUL DREAM

Magic Kingdom spreads on 107 acres (43.3 hectares) taking the highest castle as a center of ashen. The park is in two places at the same time in seven thematic lands: Peanut Street, U.S.A., Adventureland, Frontierland, Liberty Square, Fantasyland, Mickey'sToontown Fair and Tomorrowland.Cinderella's castle, the symbol of the park, rises up to 189 feet (57.61 meters) of height and includes 18 towers. Inside his(her, your) principal foyer, five shining mosaics creadosbajo the direction of Dorothea Redmond and of Hanns-Joachim Scharff report Cinderella's history in 500 brilliant shades of glass.Besides dozens of prominent figures of Disney who can be in diverse places of the park, Magic Kingdom presents a rich variety of entertainment every day, from colouring parades up to invited musicians.Disney is a world of fantasy where the amusement never ends and where one is child forever. Is because of it that the country that I would like to know is The United States. The principal reason for the one that wanted to travel there is because I wanted to have a few unforgettable vacations on having had the opportunity to visit the most famous tourist places of the country for example the water parks and the parks of amusements. I would to know Disney because it is a magic place where you set to demolish your imagination and where the dreams make real. If I had the opportunity to travel there I would enjoy to the maximum the time, would take many photographies and would guard the best recollections. If I was travelling to United States I think that this one would be the most enterteining and unforgettable trip of my life.

The Golden Gate Bridge is a suspension bridge spanning the Golden Gate, the opening of the San Francisco Bay onto the Pacific Ocean. As part of both US Highway 101 and California Route 1, it connects the city of San Francisco on the northern tip of the San Francisco Peninsula to Marin County.

The Golden Gate Bridge had the longest suspension bridge span in the world when it was completed in 1937 and has become an internationally recognized symbol of San Francisco and California. Since its completion, the span length has been surpassed by eight other bridges. It still has the second longest suspension bridge main span in the United States, after the Verrazano-Narrows Bridge in New York City. In 2007, it was ranked fifth on the List of America's Favorite Architecture by the American Institute of Architects.

The Golden Gate Bridge spans the Golden Gate, a narrow, 400-foot (120 m) deep strait that serves as the mouth of the San Francisco Bay, between San Francisco at the northernmost tip of the San Francisco Peninsula, and the Marin Headlands at the far southern end of Marin County. Although close by proximity, the two sides of the strait are separated by significant natural obstacles. Crossing the strait directly by boat is dangerous because of strong currents and lack of suitable landings. Ocean tides drive an average of 528 billion gallons (2 billion cubic meters) of water every six hours, at peak currents exceeding 5.6 miles per hour (2.5 m/s). Circumnavigating the Bay, however, involves a trip of several hundred miles and crossing several major rivers.

MACHU PICCHU

It is situated on a mountain ridge above the Urubamba Valley in Peru, which is 80 km (50 mi) northwest of Cusco. Often referred to as "The Lost City of the Incas", Machu Picchu is probably the most familiar symbol of the Inca Empire.
Machu Picchu was built in the classical Inca style, with polished dry-stone walls. Its primary buildings are the Intihuatana, the Temple of the Sun, and the Room of the Three Windows.
These are located in what is known by archaeologists as the Sacred District of Machu Picchu.

In September of 2007, Peru and Yale University reached an agreement regarding the return of artifacts which Hiram Bingham had removed from Machu Picchu in the early 20th century. Currently, there are concerns about the impact of tourism on the site as it reached 400,000 visitors in 2003.
For my this is a wonderful place. Since girl I wanted to travel to Peru and visit this works perfect created by the Incas. Actually the opportunity to have many tourists arriving in place so spectacular and enviable.

The Incas had to be very intelligent to build this Inca empire. Really the Incas were people very creative for create these perfect ruins. This work is an opportunity to learn about the history of our ancestors.

Most of the construction in Machu Picchu uses the classic Inca architectural style of polished dry-stone walls of regular shape. The Incas were masters of this technique, called ashlar, in which blocks of stone are cut to fit together tightly without mortar. The Incas were among the best stone masons the world has seen, and many junctions in the central city are so perfect that not even a knife fits between the stones.
I used to watch TV several reports about tourists and journalists who visit the place and her hopes and wishes for the amount of time it takes to visit this place is so great that we need more than one day to know the place.

TEMPLE OF THE SUN

This is an global view of the ruins of Machu Picchu. It is important that South Americans learn to appreciate the valuable heritage so that our ancestors left us.

TAJ MAHAL

One of my biggest dreams is to know the Taj Mahal which according to historical data is a complex of buildings built between 1631 and 1654 in the city of Agra, India, was built by Emperor Shah Jahan Muslim

The impressive set was erected in honor of his favorite wife, Mumtaz Mahal known as - who died giving birth to her sixth child 14, with an estimated construction sued the effort of some 20,000 workers.
Full details of the building show his romantic nature, and the set boasts a splendid aesthetic.
Legend has it that spent the rest of his days looking out the window to the Taj Mahal and, after his death in 1666, buried in the mausoleum next to his wife, generating the only break of the perfect symmetry of the whole.

The Gardens

I know that the complex is surrounded by gardens and includes flower beds, footpaths high, avenues of trees, fountains, streams and pools that reflect the image of the buildings in water.

The mausoleum

Within this structure is intoaccount the marble tomb of Mumtaz Mahal and Shah Jahan her husband

Outside Decoration

I know this architectural wonder because virtually the entire surface of the complex has been adorned, and is among the most beautiful decorations outside of the Mughal architecture of any era.
In proportion to the size of the area to decorate, decoration becomes more or less refined and retailer and we must bear in mind that Islam forbids the representation of the human figure:

The decorations were executed with three different techniques: • Painting or applied stucco on the walls • inlaid with stones • Sculptures

Inside Decoration

The central chamber of the Taj Mahal has a decoration that goes beyond traditional techniques, and emparenta with higher forms of art manual, such as goldsmith and jewellery.

Here the material used for the fouling is no longer marble or jade, but precious and semiprecious gems. Each decoration from outside has been redefined through jewelry.

The main hall also contains the cenotaph of Shah Jahan and Mumtaz, masterpieces of craftsmanship virtually unprecedented at the time. The Muslim tradition forbids elaborate decoration of the graves, so that the bodies of Shah Jahan and Mumtaz rest in a relatively simple camera below the main hall of the Taj Mahal.

Cost

According to the presumed total cost of construction of the Taj Mahal is estimated at fifty million rupees.
At that time, an ounce of gold worth approximately 1.40 rupees, so that as the current valuation, the amount could mean more than half a billion U.S. dollars.
It should be noted, however, that any comparison based on the value of gold between different eras is often very inaccurate.

The Roman Colosseum

Colosseum or Coliseum was erected as a gift to the Roman citizens. Vespasian started construction of the Coliseum in 72 AD in the grounds of Emperor Nero's.

Over 160 ft high with eighty entrances, the Coliseum could hold upwards of 50,000 spectators. Public events such as gladiator fights, mock naval battles and wild animal hunts were held at the Coliseum.

Inaugural games lasted for 100 days and nights, during which some 5,000 animals were slaughtered. Trajan once held games that lasted for 117 days, during which some 9,000 gladiators fought to the death. Fighters wereslaves, prisoners or volunteers. Spectators saw persecuted Christians killed by lions.

With the fall of the Empire, the Coliseum was abandoned and gradually became overgrown. During the middle ages, stones from the Coliseum were removed for new buildings. Today, in Rome, the Coliseum is one of its most famous landmarks and tourist attractions. Although it survives only as a ruin, it still rates as one of the finest examples of Roman architecture and engineering.

थे हँगिंग गार्डेन्स ऑफ़ BABYLONE

हँगिंग गार्डेन्स ऑफ़

The Hanging Gardens of Babylon, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World.

The hanging gardens have been built in the sixth century by King Nebuchadnezzar, who lined the city for 43 years starting in 605 BC for his homesick wife, Amyitis. Amyitis, daughter of the king of the Medes, was married to Nebuchadnezzar to create an alliance between the nations in the ninth century, by the Assyrian Queen Semiramis. Hanging probably predestined the gardens were overhanging or terraced.

It consists of arched terraces raised one above another, and resting upon cube shaped pillars. These are empty and filled with earth to allow trees of the largest size to be planted. The pillars, the vaults, and terraces are constructed of baked brick and asphalt.

The Greek historians tell us it was about 400 feet wide by 400 feet long and more than 80 feet high. Other accounts indicate the height was equal to the outer city walls. Walls that Herodotus said were 320 feet high. In any case the gardens were an wonderful

Prehistoric records indicated that only two locations in the city had made use of stone, the north wall of the Northern Citadel and the Hanging Gardens.

The north wall of the Northern Citadel had been limited with stones. The explorers continue to discover many of the features reported by Diodorus.

Finally in it exist a room was unearthed with three large, strange holes in the floor.

They reconstructed the site of the palace and located the Gardens in the area stretching from the River to the Palace. On the river banks, in recent times discovered enormous walls 25 m broad may have been stepped to form terraces.
